These are the instuctions that were kindly layed out on Linksysinfo forums for us a while back.

They are for Ubuntu but maybe work for other distros. It works every time perfect for me but I just down load the RT source untar and build without modifying anything.

HOW TO COMPILE TOMATO K26 FOR RT-N16 USING UBUNTU

DOWNLOAD TEDDY BEARS RT SOURCE CODE FOR TOMATO, UNTAR AND PLACE FILES IN FOLLOWING DIRECTORY:

/home/code/tomato

EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING COMMAND TO INSTALL MISSING STUFF ON UBUNTU:

sudo apt-get install gcc g++ binutils patch bzip2 flex bison make gettext unzip zlib1g-dev

EXECUTE THE FOLLWING IN TERMINAL WINDOW. DON'T CLOSE WINDOW AFTERWARDS.

sudo ln -s ~/code/tomato/tools/brcm/ /opt/brcm
PATH=$PATH:/opt/brcm/hndtools-mipsel-uclibc/bin:/opt/brcm/hndtools-mipsel-linux/bin

IN TERMINAL WINDOW CD TO:

/code/tomato/release/src-rt/

EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING IN TERMINAL WINDOW TO MAKE BUILD EXT:

make V1=9044 V2=Whatever r2m
